# Vibe coding with Inworld docs

> Give your AI coding assistant live access to Inworld documentation via llms.txt or MCP.

## `llms.txt` — paste and go

Give your AI assistant a map of the entire doc site:

```text
https://docs.inworld.ai/llms.txt
```

Paste that URL into your system prompt, project instructions, or chat. The model will know every page, guide, and API reference we publish.

Need the full text of every page in one file? Use [https://docs.inworld.ai/llms-full.txt](https://docs.inworld.ai/llms-full.txt). For a single page, append `.md` to its URL — `https://docs.inworld.ai/tts/synthesize-speech.md` returns that page as Markdown.

## Inworld CLI — let your agent use Inworld directly

Install the [Inworld CLI](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@inworld/cli) and your coding agent can call Inworld from the shell — no MCP configuration needed:

```bash
npm install -g @inworld/cli
inworld login
```

From there, an agent can create API keys (`inworld workspace add-key`), synthesize speech (`inworld tts synthesize`), generate audiobooks (`inworld audiobook generate`), transcribe audio (`inworld stt transcribe`), and send chat completions (`inworld llm chat`). See the [Inworld CLI reference](https://docs.inworld.ai/developer-tools/inworld-cli.md) for all commands.

## MCP server — real Inworld tools

The CLI ships the Inworld MCP server, so an assistant that speaks MCP gets operational tools — TTS synthesis and previews, voice design and publishing, STT transcription, LLM chat, workspace search and limits, billing summary, router management:

    Open Command Palette → **Open MCP settings** → **Add custom MCP**, then paste:

    ```json
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "Inworld": {
          "command": "inworld",
          "args": ["mcp"]
        }
      }
    }
    ```

  <Tab title="VS Code">
    Add to `.vscode/mcp.json`:

    ```json
    {
      "servers": {
        "Inworld": {
          "type": "stdio",
          "command": "inworld",
          "args": ["mcp"]
        }
      }
    }
    ```

    [VS Code MCP docs](https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/copilot/chat/mcp-servers)
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="HTTP">
    ```bash
    inworld mcp --http --port 3333
    ```

    Runs the same tools over HTTP for clients that cannot spawn a local process. The standalone `inworld-mcp` binary is equivalent to `inworld mcp`.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

The server runs as you: `inworld login` (or `INWORLD_API_KEY`) first, and pick a workspace with `inworld workspace select`.

<Note>
  There is no hosted documentation-search MCP server. For documentation, give the assistant `llms.txt`, `llms-full.txt`, or a single page's `.md` URL as described above.
</Note>

## Copy a page from the docs

Every documentation page has a menu at the top with **Copy page**, **View as Markdown**, and **Open in ChatGPT / Claude** — handy when you only need one page, not the whole site.
