Migrating Goals 1.0 to 2.0​

Auto-migration Process Explained​

  • Simple Migration: Characters configured with only Goals 1.0 underwent a straightforward migration process. Transition into Goals 2.0 format by leveraging:

    • Instruction actions.
    • Set_emotion actions.
    • Supporting Non-Invoke Conversation instruction via empty send_trigger as the first item in an array of actions.

  • No Migration Required: Characters already set up exclusively with Goals 2.0 were unaffected and required no migration.

  • Hybrid Migration: For characters configured with both Goals 1.0 and 2.0:

    • All Goals 1.0 were transitioned to Goals 2.0 format.
    • In cases where merge conflicts arose (e.g., Goals or Triggers with identical names across versions), the existing Goals 2.0 configuration was retained, and the corresponding Goals 1.0 configuration was discarded. However, we've preserved the original Goals 1.0 data in the backend. If users raise concerns or issues, we can still retrieve the original Goals 1.0 data and assist in manual migration.
